Honest, giving, good-natured people had high scores. While the evil and mischievous had poor scores. And depending on your score, access to certain services would be given or curtailed.

China has introduced early iterations of a social credit system. To which most have reacted with a dystopian narrative projection. In reality, a social credit system is closer to us in the west than you’d imagine.
